Corrections and evidence updates
Our correction process connects a reported issue to the underlying business record, source evidence and affected calculations. A precise report identifies the statement, operating scope and supporting evidence.
UpdatedWhat to include
Prepare the details below before contacting the site. Avoid sending customer records, account credentials or confidential business documents.
- The page URL, visible statement or result, and the inputs or units used when the issue occurred.
- The business format, geography and period the correction concerns.
- A working source URL, publisher and relevant observation or quoted amount.
- The proposed correction and why its scope matches the page.
Different issues need different evidence
A broken link or a unit-label error can be identified directly. A proposed wage, price or cost change needs evidence about its geography, period and operating scope.
A different local quote does not automatically disprove an author-selected national-context scenario. It can reveal a limitation, an unrealistic assumption or a useful additional case that needs review.
For a calculator result, include the selected business preset, every edited input, the displayed output and the expected equation. For a funding concern, distinguish opening spend, reserve, accrual profit and the dates of receipts and payments.
How we incorporate accepted corrections
We incorporate accepted corrections into the common business record and its evidence basis so related pages receive the same change. The scope of a material correction includes affected calculations, source notes and product descriptions.
Editorial-score corrections explain the applicable anchor and limiting evidence. We apply the same scoring rules to the corrected case; a preferred rank is not a basis for changing its score. Submission does not guarantee acceptance or a response by a particular date.
